The project “Scaling up Your Virtual Cold Chain Assistant” is commissioned by BMZ and is being carried out by BASE in partnership with Empa on behalf of GIZ. Parallel funding is received from the data.org Inclusive Growth and Recovery Challenge.
BASE and Empa are developing “Your Virtual Cold Chain Assistant”, a data-science-driven solution that enables smallholder farmers in Nigeria to access sustainable cooling facilities to prolong the shelf-life of their produce, minimizing food spoilage and increasing the farmers’ revenue.
